Adapter Plates

The structural integrity, compatibility, and safety of these components in your specific vehicle and brake system have not been tested by me. Mercedes-Benz 1968 - 1980s

The adapter plate is designed to fit the Tesla Model Y iBooster to the original brake master cylinder of the Mercedes-Benz W113 (1963-1971). The iBooster matches the T52 ATE brake booster bolt pattern for the firewall bracket exactly. For T51 and other models, an iBooster from a different vehicle (Model X, Model 3, etc.) may work. Alternatively, you can install the larger bracket for the T52 ATE booster, part number 113-435-01-40.

The following Mercedes-Benz models have been equipped with the T52 ATE brake booster and are compatible with the Model Y iBooster:

  • W108 / W109
  • W111 Coupe Cabrio 280SE, 280SE 3.5
  • W113 Pagoda 280SL from chassis number 006619
  • W107 up to 1985
  • W116 all models
  • W123
  • W126

The adapter plates mates the Tesla Model Y iBooster to the original brake master cylinder. The bolts on the iBooster are oriented diagonally at 45 degrees, while the W113 master cylinder bolts are oriented horizontally and spaced 60 mm apart. The adapter plate is made of 12mm (1/2") thick 6061 aluminum and has a central bore of 42 mm to accommodate the master cylinder's piston. Other Mercedes models may have different master cylinder bore sizes and bolt pattern, so please verify before machining.

Use 2 M8x1.25 30mm flat head countersunk bolts (DIN 7991) to mount the master cylinder to the adapter plate.

In addition to the adapter plate, spacers are required to ensure proper alignment and clearance between the iBooster and the pedal linkage. Three spacers of .100" each and a short Y-fork give the necessary clearance.
